We are delighted to announce that Paragon Geochemical Laboratories Inc. (Paragon) has been acquired by Britannia Mining Solutions Inc. (BMS) to create a new organization backed by seasoned mining executives and investors. The combined organization is uniquely positioned to offer rapid turnaround times with impeccable quality assurance and controls, bolstered by the introduction of new technologies in the lab and in the field.
Combining our two organizations allows us to complement the robust team at Paragon with BMS’s veteran leadership group, who collectively have decades of experience with some of the biggest names in the industry such as SGS, Intertek, AHK, and ALS. By combining this expertise with Paragon’s existing capabilities, we can provide you, our client, with even better solutions, service levels, and support in the future, helping you achieve your goals more effectively and efficiently. Additionally, it allows us to leverage the experience and capabilities of both Paragon and BMS to offer a broader range of laboratory services, and to introduce new and innovative solutions and technologies to address the current challenges facing the mining industry.
BMS, is a partially owned subsidiary of Canadian Stock Exchange-listed Britannia Life Sciences Inc. and is supported by a distinguished group of mining investors and advisors, including Eric Sprott, Tony Makuch, and Dr. Quinton Hennigh.
Recently, a leading global independent operational efficiency expert, with the support of the Paragon team, completed an extensive review which identified key areas for improvement. We have developed implementation plans and timelines that span the immediate, medium, and long-term future of the business. These measures are expected to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the operation, resulting in improved performance and better outcomes for our clients. Additionally, some of the innovations and improvements in the pipeline include:
Chrysos PhotonAssay™: A cutting-edge and environmentally friendly technology that offers a faster, more accurate, and safer alternative to traditional fire assay and geochemical analysis for gold and other metals in mineral samples. Quantitative Core Scanning: A state-of-the-art solution that combines high-resolution imaging, X-ray diffraction, and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy to give detailed mineral identification, elemental analysis, and spatial mapping within the core without the requirement of sample preparation.
Scope Expansion: We are committed to identifying each client’s specific needs and providing the necessary assays and services to meet their unique requirements and objectives.
Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS): We will continuously invest in upgrading and optimizing our LIMS to ensure more rapid, accurate, and efficient sample tracking, processing, and data management, enabling us to provide high-quality and timely results to our clients.
We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible for you and will work closely with you to ensure that your needs are met, and that you continue to receive the same high-quality service that you have come to expect. The combined business will continue to operate under the Paragon brand and existing personnel will continue in their current roles in the day-to-day management and operation of the lab.
We would like to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge the incredible achievements of the Huets in establishing Paragon and providing exceptional service and support to their clients.
