Sample Pick-Up Driver

Paragon Geochemical Laboratories is recruiting a dynamic team member who embraces advances in technology and is looking for an opportunity to be part of a collaborative team.

We are currently seeking a Sample Prep Driver for our laboratory located in Spark, NV. The ideal candidate will be an experienced driver and able to pull a gooseneck trailer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to drive distances
  • Conducts vehicle inspections before and after each trip
  • Ensures vehicle is maintained clean
  • Inspect and maintains the truck in safe operational condition
  • Identify vehicle needs and put in service requests as needed
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accurate on all Chain of Custody Forms
  • Storing and disposing of samples properly
  • Adhere to all mine site safety policies and procedures
  • Comply with Health, Safety and Security, Environmental, and all Company policies and procedures
  • Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.

Education and Experience

  • Polite and professional disposition
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
    MSHA certification (Preferred but not required)
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction
  • Previous driving experience (Preferred but not required)

Safety

Always wear appropriate PPE while in the production environment. Be alert and observe, correct, and report any unsafe conditions. Follow operating procedures and comply with all regulatory requirements.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Able to lift and carry lab equipment and samples safely in a lab environment. Bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and reaching is required. Ability to lift in excess of 30 lbs.
